We would argue that in 98% of all fairytales, there is a garden and/or forest that plays a critical role. I mean our heroine needs a place to dramatically run, throw herself on a bed of roses, and weep because her prince charming is being withholding. Sorry, honey, we didn’t invent the three-day rule. So when our stunning couples decide to use these classic fairytales as inspiration, it’s only fitting to hold their big days somewhere with a lush garden. And, today, we have the perfect example. Our extremely talented friends at Weddings by Adrienne and Amber sent over this English garden fairytale wedding, and it’s the envy of all the kingdom.
According to Adrienne and Amber, “from the beginning of time we are conditioned as little girls to crave a fairytale love. This is exactly where Nick and Alysse drew their inspiration from for their picturesque wedding. Adding whimsical florals, by Compass Floral, to the lush gardens at Green Gables with thousands of twinkle lights, made everything feel magical. The secluded, vintage, garden estate allowed for creativity, tranquility and fantasy. Alysse and Nick took what they loved from English garden styled weddings and added their own chic, romantic and rustic details to capture the essence of their style. This historic landmark was covered with dynamic gardens inspired by love. They wanted the wedding to light up at night unexpectedly which mirrored their electric, turn-of-the century love.”
Everything including the picturesque gardens, lavender-grey sequined bridesmaid dresses, vintage china, chiffon-gathered tented pavilion, and vintage truck has us starry-eyed. This wedding makes us feel like those young girls pining after their own fairytale. The only difference with this one, however, is that the couple and masterful vendor team made it a reality. Don’t pass by this truly special event that will have your jaw on the floor!
