It comes as no surprise that we are lovers of everything vintage here at The Vintage Herald (duh, it’s in the name). We love how people still have a connection to things of the past and feel compelled to be so inspired. What we love even more, however, is when people are not only inspired by past eras, but actually make them the center of their shoots. That’s why we were so pumped when the talented people at Michael & Michelle Photography sent over this Edwardian era inspired wedding shoot.
According to Michael & Michelle, they “wanted to create a “timed” styled shoot that reflected the past. [There are] so many classical styles back in the early 1900’s and we wanted to capture such a feel. With a beautiful vintage wedding gown and other classic articles of clothing and furniture, the brainstorming began.” And let us say, that whatever happened in that brainstorming session resulted in pure gold. Everything from the amazing decor and furniture to the fab-u-lous styling is perfection.
Speaking of which… can we just take a sec and talk about how incredible our models, Ashley + Makai, look!? Ashley looks breathtaking in this vintage Edwardian era dress. We are seriously considering stealing this dress and wearing it around our apartments on a daily basis. The high neck with lace detailing mixed with the classic billowing sleeves make us feel like we’ve time traveled. Our boy, Makai, is absolutely rocking his crisp navy suit, polka-dot cravat, and vintage straw boater hat. Together, these two look picture-perfect and like they’ve been plucked out of a photo painting.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the masterful Michael & Michelle Photography as well as the amazing team that helped put this shoot together. We feel like fangirls over here pining after the Edwardian era and how this team used it as inspiration for this stunning shoot.
