One of the most famous attractions (and most gorgeous) in the South of France is the lavender fields. These absolute beauties bloom in the summertime to create a scenic and fragrant wonderland. Now, don’t be fooled, these stunning fields aren’t just for Instagram Royalty. The lavender produced in these regions is used for perfumery, soap, cosmetics, and even cuisine! And today we have another use to share with you all. Our friends at Marianne Blackham Photography sent over this romantic French lavender field bridal shoot to show how such a beautiful area of the world can be the perfect inspiration for a vintage wedding.

According to Marianne, “the planner and I arranged for a styled shoot to be held at a new lavender field in the French countryside. The field belongs to the homeowner, an ex-pat. The bride model is a relative of the homeowner and the groom model is a professional. We chose a lovely color scheme of lavender, green, and ivory. Vintage decor and attire completed this French vintage wedding.

This styled shoot is everything one would hope for when getting married in the French lavender fields…ethereal, airy, and romantic. It sort of feels like floating on an airy cloud made of ornate vintage decor, lavender sprigs, and delicious cake. The stuff made of dreams…literally. Anyone needing a bit of summer French inspo, look no further than this shoot!
