Southern Style Victorian Inspired Wedding

Sometimes things appear different than they seem. No, we’re not talking about virgin cocktails or fake tans. But, rather, venues that take inspiration from other influences. What is so wonderful about this is that you can have an event inspired by a place and history that occurred in a whole other location. Take that time travel. Our friends at Jamie Bodo Photography sent over a perfect example with this Southern style Victorian inspired wedding. The trick? It didn’t actually occur in the South.

Set at the insanely gorgeous, Chalfonte Hotel, this wedding completely comes alive. This stunning location was “built in the nineteenth century and offers genteel Southern-style hospitality, ornate gingerbread verandas lined with comfortable rocking chairs, and a constant sea breeze to rejuvenate and refresh.” Such a place must be located in the beautiful Southern coastline, no? It actually hales from Cape May, New Jersey! It’s always so fascinating to us how historic architecture took influence from so many classic styles all over the world. Sure beats the typical concrete and glass buildings we see today.
