Shabby chic is an extremely popular genre of design. The soft and often cottage-style decor can make any vintage lover’s dreams come true. However, this wonderful trend is not just destined for distressed furniture. A lot of soon-to-be brides and grooms are embracing this interior design aesthetic and applying it to their upcoming nuptials. That’s why we are so excited to share with all of you this urban shabby chic formal wedding sent to us by the ever-talented people at Meggie Taylor Photography.
According to Meggie, “urban warehouse, old bricks, old cars, [and] exposed beams set a backdrop for a night of love and laughter. Greenery and white flowers add the softness to the evening. An outdoor ceremony highlights the bride and groom amongst old brick and wooden doors. Soft blushes, creams and greens add a romantic touch. The reception space mimics the warehouse’s rustic vibe and yet is softened by the long floral table arrangements.” Set at the stunning McKinney Cotton Mill, this industrial venue provides the perfect compliment for such a delicate and romantic wedding. We are loving how the airiness and softness are amplified by the start contrast of this setting. Even the vintage car is a pastel tangerine that fits seamlessly into this truly special event!
Frankly, the decor and details of this wedding look like they’re straight out of Pinterest. We’re always impressed by people who can execute their theme and design ideas into an event as imagined. We just have trouble getting the perfect winged eyeliner let alone executing a wedding to perfection. Of course, this was no difficult task for our beautiful couple and the team behind them. If you’re looking for any sort of shabby chic inspiration in your life, start with this wedding!
