Here, at The Vintage Herald, we talk a lot about how historical venues can be the perfect way to incorporate that “something old” into weddings. We’ve seen everything from century old European estates to downtown synagogues turned into trendy event spaces used for this purpose. However, another type of venue that can provide a bit of history, and also be sentimental for couples, is universities! Whether you met at one or love the architectural setting, these gorgeous campuses can be the perfect backdrop for any wedding. So when our friends at ROC Photographic Design sent over this stunning vintage collegiate formal wedding, we had to share it with all of you.
Our beautiful couple had their ceremony at the historical Belmont Abbey College. This campus was founded in 1876 by Benedictine monks. We absolutely love the grand and stoic atmosphere that it created for this event. Our bride’s ball gown looked absolutely at home in such a location. For the reception, these two decided to add a bit more party to the mix and held it at the Lenny Boy Brewing Co. This created such a fun environment to dance the night away!
If you’re needing some unique venue inspiration or simply just want to see a truly beautiful wedding, don’t pass this one up!
