Welp, it’s officially Valentine’s Day, folks. Time for last minute flowers, long lines at the card stands, and chocolate comas. Oh, and also time to celebrate wonderful long lasting love. You may be thinking that today would be the perfect day to post another gorgeous wedding celebrating two people finding each other in this crazy world. And you know what? You’d be absolutely right. But today, we feel like mixing it up. We have a breathtaking vintage forest styled shoot from our gal-pal, Erika Mattingly, that’s just too good not to share.
Since we get to fangirl over all the gorgeous weddings we feature on a daily basis, we’ve come to the realization that we have many weaknesses. Now, we’re not talking about the kind of weaknesses you drunkenly rant about to your girlfriends over wine (aka typical Friday night). Rather the kind that manifests in beautiful details you can’t help but resist. For example, anything Art Deco inspired (we’re dead), anything with epic and dramatic gowns (we’re on the floor), and anything set in a historic venue (we’ll have tears in our eyes). So looking at this shoot, we’ve been introduced to some more. Our beautiful model, Anna, is wearing a deliciously deep burgundy lipstick that matches perfectly with the bouquet done by Gromeza Designs and invitations by Paper by Charmcat. We are BIG fans of weddings that use color smartly instead of profusely. Sometimes just adding it in the important areas is all you need.
Anna’s dress, by Mignonette Bridal, is flowy and ethereal but still very much nods to a vintage vibe with the long lace sleeves. Her hair is perfectly swept up in a half up-do brilliantly done by Amelia C&Co. Her team did a phenomenal job of having her look formal and put together while still perfectly fitting in an outdoor environment. If only we looked this good on a casual jaunt through the forest.
Erika Mattingly once again put together a brilliant shoot. We always feel so inspired after seeing her photos, and this vintage forest styled shoot is no different. All we know is whether you have a date tonight or not, this shoot is worth a look!
