Although the 1940’s are mainly remembered for war, there was still a lot of beauty in this era. The loose finger waves, bold makeup, and slinky silk gowns that made up the glamour aesthetic of that time are the stuff of dreams. I mean Rita Hayworth, Judy Garland, Lauren Bacall… yeah, OK, people, the 1940’s can hang. So when our friends at Eder Photo sent over this fabulous 1940’s inspired wedding in a historic museum, we just had to show it off.
The crown jewel of this swanky event is hands down our gorgeous bride. The silk sheath gown from BHLDN with the cowl neck back is the perfect choice for 1940’s inspiration. However, what takes the look over the edge is the utterly fabulous cameo necklace and retro hairstyle. We honestly cannot get over how amazing this bride looks. Such a classic look for such a classic inspiration.
The gorgeous Junipero Serra Museum set the perfect stage for this soiree. It provided a beautiful California backdrop in which to celebrate such a happy day. The gorgeous florals, elegant table decor, and delicate treats were just icing on the cake. If you’re needing a little glamour inspiration today, this is just the wedding to do it!
